Sarah bin Tyeer elected to MLA Arabic forum executive committee

Sarah R. bin Tyeer has been elected to an office seat on the MLA LLC Arabic (Language, Literature and Culture – Arabic) forum executive committee effective 2022- 2026.  The executive committee plans and organizes LLC Arabic panels at the MLA yearly convention. Founded in 1883, the Modern Language Association of America has worked for more than a century to strengthen the study and teaching of languages and literatures. With over 25,000 scholars and teachers of languages and literatures, members collaborate on sessions at the MLA Annual Convention, share their work on MLA Commons, publish in MLA books and journals, and provide leadership on professional issues through MLA committees.
