
Samyak works at the intersection of history and politics. For his PhD, he is studying a set of bureaucratic, legal and expressive texts written in literary Assamese, Sanskrit and Bengali. His PhD looks at the practice of political culture in early modern Brahmaputra Valley and it’s adjoining regions – present day Assam, Manipur, Arunachal Pradesh, Tripura and northeast of West Bengal. He is also the founding editor of Pangsau and helps in developing web content on the history of northeast India.
