Amir Izadpanah
I’m a doctoral student in MESAAS and pursuing a certificate in ICLS. I have an MA in English Literature from Beheshti University, Tehran.
I think and write about questions in continental philosophy, political theology, and Persian literature. My dissertation project concerns how philology impacted its object of study (especially in regard to the languages of the Islamicate), and how it gave birth to new regional and disciplinary formations by changing the perception of what (a) language is.
I won the 2023 Étienne Balibar Prize in Cultural and Political Thought.
