Professor Sarah bin Tyeer has been awarded the Hettleman Junior Faculty Grant by the Office of the Provost. The award is for her project, Canons and Empires: Tensions in Arabic Literary History. For more information, see here.

Rym Bettaieb received the Provost’s Innovative Course Design Award to develop the Shahid Listening website. The goal of this project is to provide Columbia Arabic students with authentic listening resources accompanied by a guided learning strategy.
