Filmmaker and School of the Arts faculty member Ramin Bahrani (CC ’96) discusses his new film, The White Tiger — an adaptation of the Man Booker Prize-winning novel by Aravind Adiga — with Hamid Dabashi, Hagop Kevorkian Professor of Iranian Studies and Comparative Literature. Netflix describes The White Tiger as an “epic journey of a poor Indian driver (Adarsh Gourav) who uses his wit and cunning to break free from servitude to his rich masters (Rajkummar Rao and Priyanka Chopra Jonas) and rise to the top of the heap.”

Note: Please watch The White Tiger on Netflix in advance of this conversation. (It will not be screened live.) The film will launch on Netflix on January 22.
