Wendimagegn Belete works across painting, textile, installation, and image-based media. Rooted in Ethiopian history and lived experience, his practice draws on archival photographs, found material, and personal documentation to explore memory, identity, and spirituality. Central to his work is epigenetic inheritance-the idea that memory can be transmitted across generations in unconventional ways-reclaiming narratives long framed history.
